OUR LIFE-SAVING PROJECTS ON THE GROUND IN DARFUR

  • Education for internally displaced children in Darfur.
  • Established Women’s Empowerment Centers in Darfur that provide healthcare, psycho-social counseling, and safe space for survivors of sexual violence.
  • Protection of human rights defenders.

Forobaranga: Fatima Adam, a 22-year-old divorced mother of four children, works in a land run by a group of young farmers, as part of the Livelihood and Food Security Programme sponsored by the UNAMID DDR section (Disarmament, Demobilization and Reintegration) in Forobaranga, West Darfur, in collaboration with the Islamic Relief Agency (ISRA). 200 young people, at risk of joining violent armed groups, are the beneficiaries of micro-projects on farming, livestock and small enterprises.
